  • Henry Link

    LEAD Pastor

Pastor Henry and his family arrived at The Church On The Hill in 2021 from central Alabama where he served on staff of a church for eight years as Family and Discipleship Pastor and then Lead Teaching Pastor. He has a passion for preaching the Word, making disciples, and shepherding the flock of God. His aim in life is "to proclaim Jesus to everyone, everywhere, every day."

Born and raised in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky, Henry grew up going to church and hearing the stories of Jesus. But it wasn't until he was 15 years old that his eyes were opened to the truth of the Gospel and his heart was awakened to life through faith in Christ. He was called to ministry his senior year in high school and has served in ministry for almost 20 years since, including time with Life Action Ministries as well as serving the local church in pastoral ministry. Henry earned his Bachelor of Science in Religion with an emphasis in Christian ministry from Liberty University and his Master of Divinity in Advanced Standing through Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

While serving and traveling with Life Action Ministries, Henry met his wife, Kayla who also traveled with them in children's ministry, and they were married in July of 2006. Kayla is a stay-at-home mom as they homeschool their daughter and son, Kherington and Hudson. They love to go to the beach and watch superhero movies together as a family.

  • JEREMY Shick

    Worship Leader

Jeremy Shick is the Worship Leader at The Church on the Hill. He moved to Lake Wales from PA when he was in first grade and has lived here ever since (minus time away in college). He graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Jeremy began leading worship here at TCOTH in January 2022.

Even at a young age, Jeremy was serving in the local church and volunteering for worship teams. From drums, to bass guitar, to acoustic guitar and singing, he has volunteered in many teams. Around 2004, he felt the calling to one day lead believers in worship and began doing so a few years later in 2007. For 10+ years, Jeremy has been leading worship at various churches in the Lake Wales area. He has a tremendous desire to see The Church engage in true, authentic worship as he believes one of the greatest joys we have as believers in Christ is to lift our praises to the One who created us and is worthy of our praise.

Jeremy has been married to Lindsey since 2014 and they have 2 amazing children. Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and practically anything outdoors (with short breaks in air conditioning… of course). Lindsey is a “semi-retired” school teacher and is blessed to be a stay-at-home mom as she homeschools Everett and Ruby.

  • Katie Sheffield

    Children's minister

Katie Sheffield is our Children’s Minister at TCOTH.  She is an Army Brat who has lived all over the United States starting in the Pacific Northwest and slowly working her way East and South with stops in Texas, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Miami.  She has a degree in Music Education from FSU with a focus on Instrumental Education.  She can play almost any instrument (to varying degrees) but says that the strange ones are the best.  She has taught music to all grade levels, from band to middle and high school students, and General Music to elementary students.  Elementary students are where her heart lies and has spent the last five years of her teaching career with these students.

Her calling became more specific after reading the book “Mama Bear Apologetics” by Hillary Morgan Ferrer.  It showed her just how much our children are exposed to and how early.  As such, her passion has become to equip children and their parents with the tools to defend their faith and question the societal norms that are forced on them.

Katie and her husband Cory were married in The Church on the Hill in 2018.  Both being self-confessed nerds, they enjoy computer games, movies and theological or historical conversations.  Cory is a Polk County native and serves the church anywhere his IT knowledge is useful.  Both have been saved from a young age and see the value in equipping our children with sound doctrine.  Neither is a fan of the beach, but in the trees with a hammock is where they are the most relaxed.
